Lol 608, Wake Up!!! We have been gettin fucked for the last 10 years starting with PLAs. Guys bitch and moan on the job, but won’t go vote. We have a dockbuilder as EST for the last 5 years or so and we can’t even muster up the votes on a mail in ballet to get him out. By the way, Joe is doing a good job for his guys, they received a raise in their 2018 contract with none of this crap the rest of us will deal with. They are a small specialized local whose pay scale due to numbers can be tolerated. Carpenters are idiots, this was preventable, just show up and vote. Once this contract really gets into effect as the same as concrete, this cheap labor will put at least 50% of “certified journeymen” out of work (and that’s with it busy). Will we turn enough jobs over that we will have our current levels of employment for “certified journeymen”? Most carpenters are to stupid to think this far out. Fuck...most can’t lay out a wall. It comes down to member involvement. Fuck your pipe and drums, Latino club, the sisters, fuck your softball teams. The time would have been better spent voting, members have no voice cause they made that decision. More important to catch the 330 train home. That train is about to get real expensive. Let the strong survive! Hopefully we’ll have a pension.
