Sounds like the ole UBC propaganda/slogan "Live Better; Work Union". Guess they meant this one for Council/International hacks & hatchet men.
Libraries have books you can sign out free of charge as do law libraries not to mention all kinds of available information available through the magical world of the internet Norm; so why listen to another hack living in the past who is wasting your time when no one in NYCDCC locals will stand up and fight for a damn thing at the NLRB, Judge Berman's court room or in the Second Circuit?
Will the SUNY & CUNY professors do your homework for you or appear at the NLRB or before Judge Berman? Will they write your legal briefs to either? Do you have a clue on where to begin?
Define how your recommending guys waste their time & money on any such courses shall benefit them, you or retirees relevant to how crooked your current leadership team (devised by Dennis Walsh & Doug McCarron & Kenneth Conboy) is and how irrelevant and inept your current 100-member Council Delegate Body (CDB)) remains?
Seriously - more brainwashing by a bunch of liberal socialist professors won't do you or anyone else in the NYCDCC a damn bit of good at this juncture; given the ongoing criminal RICO case will soon have its 26th birthday come September 6th.
Ted and some others already know all there is to know. They only have the time to consider the "important" union matters. Perhaps a better prepared rank and file could make us a more successful union. Did you notice that the NYCDC-LTC is now a “SCHOOL” because it was never authorized to be a college. Use of the term “college” in New York State is generally restricted to institutions chartered by the Regents or the State Legislature. An entity must register every curriculum (program) creditable toward a degree at a New York college to be authorized to confer degrees. Why didn't someone notice sooner? Why hasn't this "oversight" been noticed by the great thinkers?http://www.highered.nysed.gov/ocue/aipr/DegreeAuthorization.htm
