Can you imagine a Carpenter's union without the McCarrons?

Ethics
"Finally, the consequences of the demise of labor unions will go far beyond paychecks and policies. Unions have not always lived up to their ideals, but they embody the values of solidarity, fairness and mutual self-help that undergird a decent society, and which are being elbowed aside in a culture that idolizes the egocentric, hyper-greedy worship of self. Let unionism's ethos of solidarity disappear and Americans will find themselves tossed back to a time when the workplace was a war of all against all -- and life on the job was brutal, feral and merciless". ( you mean , like brother suing brother, and the UBC selling out the retirees and rank and file? )

This is an excerpt from an article written by a "distinguished fellow", Jeff Faux ......
Read it for yourself, @ carpenters.org, under 'politics' , "an America without unions"....

"Since his election, McCarron has reorganized the Brotherhood’s priorities and structure. He set organizing as the union’s number one priority and has redirected its resources to get that job done. The union’s localized—and often politically motivated—structure has also been redefined and streamlined to reflect today’s regional and national construction industry, as well as to ensure that union leaders are more accountable to members for the job they do".
