UNION to NON-UNION (ALTER EGO)

3-salient points in this case:

1)  This is Chicago, yet the UBC was no where in sight, accordingly, United Electrical, Radio & Machine Workers of America, Local 1110, was the certified bargaining rep. Given their lack of comprehension of the Industry, their so called union Contract was for wage rates between $12 - $13/hour. One worker made $20.15/hr....no pension, no annuity, no health, just a miserly 401K which comes out the workers paycheck.

2)  The majority of the workers were hispanics, and were openly discriminated against and poorly represented as reflected by their hourly wage rates....yet, no UBC

3)  BOARDS DECISION & ORDER, LAST PAGE

REPUBLIC WINDOWS & DOORS, LLC 7 and sign any agreement reached as a result of such bargaining. WE WILL furnish the Union the requested information that is relevant and necessary to its role as the exclusive collective-bargaining representative of the employees in the unit.

WE WILL on request, process the grievance filed by the Union under article IV of our 2008–2011 collectivebargaining agreement.

Amounts due: Backpay $1,507,224.40
401(k) Contributions 37,680.61
Union Dues and Fees 4,736.04
TOTAL AMOUNT DUE: $1,549,641.05

REPUBLIC WINDOWS AND DOORS, LLC AND
ECHO WINDOWS AND DOORS, LLC, AN ALTER
EGO

Note: see the list of names. Chicago CARPENTERS  in the UBC earn a heck of a lot more than these poverty level wages.
